The Sitting Frog Zen Sangha is a Zen Buddhist community based in Phoenix, Arizona, offering training that is at once rigorous and compassionate. All are welcome to practice with us, regardless of religious or political beliefs, racial or ethnic background, age, economics, gender, sexual orientation or criminal history.
We meet on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings.
The Tuesday meetings are held at West Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 5904 W. Cholla St., Glendale, AZ, 85304.
These meetings run from 7:00-9:00, but newcomers are asked to arrive 15 minutes early for orientation. Please wear comfortable clothing in plain colors.
Sitting cushions and mats are limited, so bring a zafu or cushion to sit on and a zabuton or folded blanket to use as a mat.
The Sunday meetings are held at Modified Arts, 407 E. Roosevelt, Phoenix, AZ 85004, and are slightly less formal. They run from 10:30-12:00. Attendees must bring their own cushions.
At each meeting, a donation of $5 is requested, but please attend, whatever your financial means, and give what you can.
Please contact us with any questions or to be added to our email list.
